espresso blend?

It’s been 2 years since i have used my old espresso machine and i would just like to ask what type of coffee to use. Is any type of bean ok as long as its ground really fine, or was it coarse? i forgot… I am currently using Movenpick Espresso coffe…

also is it ok to use regular ground coffee in an espresso machine… thanks..
