problems when making espresso?

espresso coffee machines
robby lim asked:

I just got my new espresso machine yesterday but i am having a few problems with it. whenever i make my espresso at home, i noticed that the ground coffee is always soaking wet whenever i remove it from the machine. from what i know, it should be dry and when i discard it, it should be intact and should fall out in one piece. i don’t know why but mine’s been really soggy and wet. Does anyone know how to fix this? it would really be of great help :) thanks!
