I have a Moulinex coffee maker and espresso machine. It is wrote on the appliance that its power is 1900w. Does it really use so much energy even when it’s only holding the coffee hot? Is it ok to let the appliance be on for hours, so that coffee is hot and ready whenever you want?

chrismariesan asked: my espresso machine managed to “suck up” milk into the main compartment….and I have NO idea how to clean it. This is my machine:

The top of the machine is not open…..there are bars of sort crisscrossing the top…making it impossible to put my hand in, or even a scrubber or rag. When I look inside the machine I can see the milk gunk but rinsing it out will not get it out. Please help!!

I own a Krups machine that is both a coffee maker and an espresso machine. It is finally starting to ‘kick the bucket’ and I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on a replacement model. While I was OK with the Krups one, the espresso side of it wasn’t all that hot, literally. I’m not looking to spend more than $200 on both things. Do you know of a good coffee/espresso machine, or should I get seperate ones? If so, are there any brands or types recommended within that price range? Thank you!

blitzcrackunders asked: I have a plain ol’ Mr. Coffee espresso/cappuccino maker that I keep around because I like the milk frother on it.
However I don’t like coffee or espresso, so that part hasn’t even been used!
Do you think I could just turn it on to use to make hot water for steeping tea, hot cocoa, etc. etc?

As a parting gesture, my weeklong houseguest washed the dishes and immersed the “do not immerse in water” bottom part of my coffee maker. Now it won’t work when I set it on the little button on it’s stand. will it dry out and work again or is it trash?

My husband bought me one of these guys for Christmas two years ago, and I used it every day for about a month..then put it away…never to be heard from again until today lol. I remember reading in its instruction manual that a once-a-month cleaning is necessary to keep it working great..but i can’t find the manual..and i don’t remember HOW it said to clean it. I usually use watered down white vinegar on my regular coffee maker, but I’m not sure if I can use it on this. If I can, how does it work, do i just let it process through like its brewing espresso? how do I clean the inside of the steam wand? I’d really like to use it again this evening, if at all possible.
Lon, you need to start leaving more than just 1 or 2 word answers to questions, and not just random words that don’t make sense to the question just to get points. Please show some respect.

I have a Benotti Espresso Machine, and I (unfortunately) let it sit for quite a while with water in it. Needless to say, it now has a mold smell to it. I know how to clean and de-odorize the water basket, but how should I go about cleaning the inside? Usually when I clean my regular coffee maker, I just use denture cleaning tablets in the water basket and run it through the brewing cycle a few times with clean water. I plan to do the same with this, but I want to know if anybody can think of a better way? Thanks for the help!

I’ve been an coffee drinker for quite a while now, and have recently taken a liking to cappuchinos and espresso. we have a coffee maker at our house; nothing special - just a mr.coffee. we have a coffee bean grinder, as we only buy beans. i’d like to get an espresso machine before winter hits, but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for them - i have seen some that sell for thousands! it wouldn’t be used very often, and just for one person, do you have any ideas? I’d really appreciate it! :]
