The top of the machine is not open…..there are bars of sort crisscrossing the top…making it impossible to put my hand in, or even a scrubber or rag. When I look inside the machine I can see the milk gunk but rinsing it out will not get it out. Please help!!

Not sure if it would take, I bought the Mr. Coffee ECM20 which was economical, and I must admit it was good when it wasn’t spewing steam out the top or one of the parts wasn’t broken. But once I steam the milk and add it to make a latte, it is just lukewarm and cools very quickly. What am I doing wrong? Should I be steaming the milk until it’s piping hot? I was told to steam it until the metal pitcher felt warm on the outside.

I suppose I could just nuke it when I’m done, but any other suggestions would be appreicated. Thanks! I can’t pay for Starbucks anymore and need this to work
